The Forth Annual West Palm Beach Tropical Rum Festival will be held at the Meyer Amphitheater, 104 Datura Street, West Palm Beach, FL 33410 on Saturday February 6th 3:00pm -10:00pm.
Third World Band is one of the longest-lived reggae bands of all time, and one of Jamaica's most consistently popular crossover acts among international audiences. While the band was long capable of authentic roots reggae, they usually preferred to mix in elements of RnB, funk, pop, and rock (and, later on, dancehall and rap).
Formed in 2007, Spred The Dub has been keeping crowds dancing all over South Florida with their own brand of "Good Time Reggae" music - infusing elements of soul, funk and r&b with a foundation of rocksteady, ska and roots reggae to create sonic landscapes and massive drum & bass riddems.
Causion, Antigua, West Indies. Causion came from a musical family and inspired by the music of Jamaica recorded his debut, the uplifting 'African Girl', in combination with the UK-based DJ Spider Don. King Waggy Tee earned the title of "King" by winning South Florida's Selector Clash 3 years in a row.. This was a contest where the audience got to judge for the Selector that Represented the best selections, style, execution and performance for the night, some what like the World Clash of today. The winner was crowned KING for that year.
For over 2 decades, GIO has been entertaining all over south florida. He got his start in the early 90's as a drummer for a band called Vou Dou Danse. Opening for artists like 2 Unlimited, Erotic Exotic, Johnny O, 2 Hyped Brothers & a Dog, Viola Wills, and many more.. During the mid 90's he was introduced to the Florida Breaks scene.
Born in Long Island, NY, introduced to reggae by friends, bought all the classic, foundation records in Greenwich Village in the 80's & 90's. Fell in love with the drum-n-bass vibes, moved to Delray Beach, FL . Took up surfing, began teaching, and, oh yes; became an underground sensation in the local reggae scene! That is the short version of a very long road traveled by Adam "Teacha" Barnes.
